A. Air freight is any package, pallet and/or crate over 151 lbs of actual and/or dimensional weight.

A. Ocean freight is any package, pallet and/or crate over 151 lbs of actual weight.
Q. What is LTL trucking?
A. Less-then-truckload (LTL) is where you have freight -i.e. pallets and/or crates that need to be
trucked across the mainland. This service is used to have freight transported across the mainland.
Q. How does The Shipping Shack, Inc. provide LTL trucking on the mainland?
A. The Shipping Shack, Inc. has teamed up with freight brokers on the mainland. This enables us to
get HUGE discounted trucking rates with major LTL trucking lines such as Yellow/Roadway,
SAIA, RoadRunner, Estes, USF Reddaway, etc. that as an individual or business that you would
not be able to get on your own.
Q. How does The Shipping Shack, Inc. get such huge discounted LTL rates?
A. The Shipping Shack, Inc. gets "volume discounts" by teaming up with freight brokers on the
mainland. This enables us to pass on these discounts to our customers.
Q. Do you offer "on-site" estimates?
A. Yes, The Shipping Shack, Inc. come to your house or business and give you estimate for all of
your shipping needs.
Q. Does The Shipping Shack, Inc. offer crating?
A. Yes, we offer full crating services.
Q. Where does The Shipping Shack, Inc. do "on-site" crating?
A. Yes, we do. When the commodity calls for it, do to the value and/or fragility, we will crate right on
site then to prevent your shipment from getting damaged.
Q. How about insurance?
A. Every package whether it be a letter, box pallet or crate is automatically insured for $100 under via
an international law under IATA. We offer additional insurance (declared value) if needed for
additional cost.
Q. Does The Shipping Shack, Inc. ship motorcycles?
A. Yes, we do. In fact, shipping motorcycles is one of "specialities." We have shipped
approximately over 125 motorcycles between 2006 and 2009.
Q. What are some of unusual shipments The Shipping Shack, Inc. has done?
A. We have crated and shipped custom built Harley Motorcycles, art work valued from $1,000 to
$250,000, solar reactor worth $500,000, medical equipment, cars, boats, construction equipment,
etc. Our most unusual is when we shipped a government surplus fire truck to Guam !
